Chapter 6: Testing & Validation¶
Comprehensive End-to-End Integration Testing
Chapter Overview¶
This chapter provides comprehensive test procedures for validating the entire multi-cloud integration across GCP Vertex AI, Azure ExpressRoute/Virtual WAN, SD-WAN Cloud OnRamp, and SaaS applications. Testing is organized into four progressive phases: component testing, integration testing, failover/chaos testing, and user acceptance testing.
Testing Timeline: 4 weeks across all 19 sites with complete coverage
What You'll Learn¶
- Test strategy and infrastructure setup
- Component-level validation procedures
- Integration testing across cloud platforms
- Failover and chaos engineering tests
- Performance benchmarking and load testing
- User acceptance test (UAT) procedures
- Technical validation and compliance checks
Testing Scope¶
Infrastructure Under Test:
- Sites: All 19 SD-WAN sites (6 hubs + 13 branches)
- Cloud Platforms: GCP Vertex AI, Azure (3 ExpressRoute circuits, 3 Virtual WAN hubs)
- SD-WAN: Cloud OnRamp SaaS/IaaS/SASE across entire fabric
- Applications: Office 365, Salesforce, WxCC, Azure services
Test Tooling:
- Network: ThousandEyes, iperf3, mtr, traceroute
- Application: AppDynamics, Splunk, custom scripts
- Cloud: GCP Cloud Monitoring, Azure Monitor
- SD-WAN: vManage analytics and DPI
